will new apple tos cancel game salad?

i've been researching various sdk/dev packages for the iphone, and have noticed a lot of conversation regarding the new apple tos that says apps developed with non-apple sdk's won't be allowed to be sold in the app store...does this include game salad?

Nope. The Devs are very confident that GS is safe. There is a post around here somewhere...

excellent, then i think i'm going with game salad. although i can program in obj-c, core animation scares me, lol.

If you get the "Express" license, then yes. There is a rather lengthy loading period where the GS logo is displayed.

Go "Pro", for $2000, and you get to use a custom loading screen.

Keep in mind that the loading screens are currently just a static image...

If you just get the 99$ level, you will have the GS logo on the loading screen, but nowhere else. The pro level lets you make your own load screen.

Have you looked at any GS games?

i'm getting ready to purchase a few mentioned on the forums.

i'd rather have our own logo on it, but at $2K i'm not sure, especially with some of the limitations of gs.

again, i'm trying to avoid the graphic portion of the coding ... i'll probably have a better idea after seeing some of the games.

From the sound of your last post...you might not understand that you cannot mix native code with GameSalad. GS allows no access to the source code. Its all or nothing. You won't be able to use GS to do "pieces" of your development...you have to do EVERYTHING in GS.

And yes...$2000 is WAY too much for logo removal...as that and URL forwarding are all you get for the $1900 extra.

okay then, if it does all or nothing i'm not sure anymore lol.
i've also read on the forums that if you don't renew with gs your games are taken off the app store (?)

If you decide not to update GS after a year, your games already on the store will not be affected.

However, if you don't renew your Apple license they are taken off the App store...
