I haven't seen this yet. My screenshots for Google Play must be 24 bit no alpha to do this I use Gimp (It's free). Import the png into Gimp and export it as a jpg and it should be accepted. I would imagine this could also be done in Photoshop.

  • oh gimp ok

  • when i open gimp, where do i upload the pngs? also how do i export them?

Yeah, use anything to turn it to a jpg and you'll be fine.

Use File/Open to open the image then File/Export As then Select File Type (By Extension).

  • thanks, it's funny because i always use the screenshot i took for the game in gamesalad as png and apple use to accept them on the old itunes connect. but this new updated itunes connect is giving me a problem why.

  • Thanks guys it helped

You can use this simple tool "Alpha Channel Remover" It removes alpha channel of multiple png files.

    Download from here: http://alphachannelremover.blogspot.com

hey you can just change the screenshot file type, simple type "defaults write com.apple.screencapture type jpg" into terminal and done.

No need for any special alpha channel tools or to use jpeg. Just untick transparency when exporting the screenshot as png.
