Making iPhone Development Easier - RETINA Display? iPhone5, 5s, 6 & 6Plus and iPad? Room For Answers

Aloha All,

I'm positive a lot of things will change as these new iPhone devices hit the market. I would like to start a single point of discussion to uncover the Best Practices for Development for all iPhone Devices up and above the 5 through the 6. Please Feel Free to add and contribute your Best Practices for the true development of new games or modification of old games.

1) GamesSalad Choice of iPhone Platform.... With the new devices and the iPhone 5 series of phones presenting in 16x9 Resolutions, Should building a Universal Binary start with the GameSalad choice of iPhone Platforms (not Legacy iphone)?

2) With the easier build of 16x9 resolution for the 5s and 6s......Should we build all games with RETINA in mind?

3) With RETINA being discussed here..... Does every single actor/image need to be double the size? (ie. Does in a platform style game that goes over multiple screens, need to have the buttons along with the backgrounds twice the size they would have been?) Another example..... if the actors actions used to be say in the center of the screen in non RETINA, now need to be almost off screen and Apple will resize the image?
