Best Screen Resolution to Develop on?

When it comes to making new games for me, I always run into the problems that have to do with the screen resolution I developed on. I always submit my apps with a universal build, but there is always something wrong. If i you fixed, there are just blank walls that players can't see, and it doesn't look professional. With stretch, it works, but the graphics get weird, and if I'm using circles and squares, there are actually rectangles and ovals. Overscan... just no. Has anyone found a great way to make the games look amazing, or a way so the game can just be loaded up in the devices resolution. If so, could you possibly leave a comment:) ? Thanks
