Much work ahead on the video tutorial front.

Since GS has decided to remove the old tutorials done by Tshirtbooth. I'm going to pick away producing some videos on some of the basic techniques that were demonstrated in those videos. It will take time to replace those valuable videos but a I shall do my best.

They are over at GSHelper - Glad you' are quick on the road to help out but is this a deal you have with GameSalad or is it just your own kindness?

Not the cookbook videos. Those are the ones Tshirt made when he owned GSHelper. The ones from the old Gamesalad cookbook youtube were ones GS paid Tshirt to do. Tshirt booth was never part of GS staff. I have no contact with GS. I've been doing these on my own for years now.

Most of you new guys 2 years or less don't know the history around here. Many assume Tshirt was a part of Gamesalad, He was not.

I think it's a good idea that the video be redone if they aren't coming back, but it would amaze me if GameSalad deleted those videos for no reason. The only thing I can think of is that they're prepping for the Cross-Platform Creator - thus removing all of the old UI videos... But still, if I were to do that, I wouldn't remove those valuable vids until the new Creator was released.

As I said in another thread, the videos have not been deleted. We're just trying to tidy up the YouTube channel(s) and the first step was to redirect the older channels to the correct location.

For better or worse, a lot of people who search for GameSalad info were being directed to videos on 3 different channels, some of which were 3-4 years old or even older, and this is not necessarily representative of the current state of affairs or the face we want to put forward.

At any rate, some of the videos in question will probably be retired, some will be updated/recreated, etc.

I think I'm going to proceed to do some basic videos on doing a custom score, one on how to do text strings et... Just cover some basics we all take for granted as knowing. I think another one would be be camera on a large scene.

@The_Gamesalad_Guru‌ I think that would be great, regardless of what we do! The more the merrier.
