How did ya'll get Inkscape? I downloaded it but it said It needs xquartz to use it...Does this make any changes to my Macbook?
I run Inkscape on my iMac, and the onlything xquartz does (that i know of) is to simulate a windows enviorment for Inkscape. So when you use it its ctrl instead of cmd. But thats something you can change with al little bit of work
You have to download xQuartz in order to use Inkscape. I don't think it does anything to your Mac that would be threatening or bad.
Yup, X11 runs automatically when you open Inkscape. There should be no problem running both. I am using it for so long time now.
