In that thread there are details by @JSProject on how it can be reproduced and also confirmation by GS staff that the bug had been registered. I just searched for the bug in the public bug database but can not find it registered: http://bugs.gamesalad.com/
@JSProject and @BlackCloakGS is the bug MAC-415 corrected in any RC or has it not been registered in the new bug database?
I had this problem is several places in a recent game. For one I increased the offending actor's size a couple of pixels, for another I shifted it over a pixel. The problem seemed to be that the actor was correctly sized and correctly placed according to the numbers, but was being shifted one pixel to the right at runtime.
I submitted a support ticket but it never went anywhere.
I chanced across this in response to a post in the Release Candidate 12.6 thread:

Agreed, the compression artifacting is not really an issue, all you need to know is that the original crappness of the image is mirrored in the device screenshots (the images also looked bad quality to me when I opened them) . . . the original and the iPad shots null (but oddly are 1 pixel up and left out of sync) as you would expect and the iPhone6+ looks a tiny bit soft, but like you say this is going to be impossible to see on the iPhone6+'s comparatively small screen.
@MarcMySalad thanks for reminding me. I just checked and the bug is NOT fixed in the latest RC (0.12.6) and the bug was not registered in the new bug tracker either. The GS team said that all bugs should have been transferred but they clearly forgot about this one (makes one wonder what else may have been missed).

Oh I have that same problem, I fixed it by changing the camera origin. It will temporarily fix the problem, but I am hoping to get it fixed soon
An example of camera origin would be x= .2 and y= .2, it will counteract the shift
That is a bug that was described in this thread:

@stahboy
At the moment my origin is at 0,0. So you're saying that I should just move it over a little pixels and my problem's solved?

Anyways, I reported it again and modified my info slightly to try to make it even more clear. It is now reported as bug "371" here:
