My app is getting rejected due to not being optimized for ios 8.

Hello

My apps keep getting rejected because it's not optimized to support ios 8. is there an update to this? how can i fix this.

here is the message from apple:

----- 10.6 -----

After careful review of your app, we found the following issue with the user interface of your app:

  • Was not optimized to support the device screen size and/or resolution when reviewed on iPad Air running iOS 8 and iPhone 5s running iOS 8

It seems you are submitting a universal app but it isn't optimized. Do you have iPhone and iPad screenshots to compare?

The review doesn't really make a specific point of saying your app was rejected due to not being optimized for iOS8 - it is saying the app didn't fit the screen size, iOS8 just happens to be the OS they were using during testing, I expect it would have been rejected under iOS7 and iOS6 too, iOS8 is not the issue here, the issue is that you app doesn't fit the screen.

Yep! I see the problem as well. @reginald.bernardin‌ you haven't optimized the app for iPad.

Looks like your using Overscan. try using stretch that way it will fit the screen.

I used lettering box so the aspect ratio is stays the same is that ok?

    apple doesn't accept letter boxing.

Though that is correct in theory, I have come across apps with a letterbox.

In any case, this here looks like overscan, not letterboxing.

Apple just accepted my universal app that is letterbox for iPad but fits perfect on iPhone.

i think their letter boxing requirement is across phones, but on an iPad it's ok

Yeah I should read the new guidlines. apple is up and down with this stuff.

Bungo letterboxes on iPhone 4s. I think this rule applies with some common sense, and depending on the type of game.
