Endless Platformer Problem

So i was just wondering, my runner has to jump onto the platform from below. he can move left and right. when i tap the platform on the left hand side , the platform then moves to the right of the screen away from my runner. How do i only "land" on the top of it? can i prevent the platform from moving to the right? i linked the video i used below. my platforms change direction.
