No ads in Mac Publishing?

I think I know the answer to this...but I can't find any thread of people asking if ads can be used in Mac apps...is this true? I looked on Apples site under iAds and it says for your iOS apps...no where...even in FAQ can I find anyone asking if ads can be used in Mac apps.

I'm assuming no...so your app is either outright free...or you need to charge for it.

You mean for Desktop Macintosh computers right? I think you're correct, no ads for those.

Desktop app were pretty much never ad supported, and likely it will stay that way.

Ok thanks. I had not ever noticed ads...but actually have very few apps I have downloaded to my Mac.
