Using GameSalad as audio player??

Hi all,

I'm getting the feeling that GameSalad can't help me on my latest project...

The first part of it is straightforward, with 5 minute timed animations with a music overlay. I've built them no problem.

The issue is... i'd like to be able to play a music/audio file which can be up to 20 mins long.

Think of an audio book/podcast.

The problem I think i'm going to have is that sending the iPad/iPhone to sleep will kill the sounds right?

Also, leaving the iPad/iPhone on with an audio file playing will eventually send it to sleep thus killing the sound right?

Is there any way around his using GameSalad?

Thanks for any advice

Tim

Hi @Tim_A & @Fuzzbox If the sound stops playing when your iDevice is set to sleep after a certain period, there won't be a way to override it. So the solution is to simply go into the Settings > General > Auto Lock where you can set the sleep after period, one option being "never".

Of course, if your app features playing music longer than 5 minutes for other users, you'll need to let them know to set "never" too, when using it.
