New Inap System. What app do I update?

I am hoping to submit an update to my app with a free version of the app that can be played with all the features until they play sections 3 times. Then it is locked down and buyers are encouraged to purchase.

What version option should I do?

option 1: If I update this way in the free version, will the thousands of people who did not purchase the app in the first place, get a full unlocked version of the game when downloaded?

or Option 2: If I update to the paid version, will the app unlock to give them a version of the game?

Option 3: Do a completely new app.

Do you mean will the people who already have your free version installed get the new version unlocked for free?

Sounds like the first question asked in a different way.

You need to give more concise detail for example is the current free version fully functional, does it have IAP's, ads, etc. Are there any changes made to the new version like, new scenes, game play, IAP's, ads, etc.

Members who have experience with changing apps from free to paid and or IAP's can then tell you how they handled it. Hope this helps .

option 1: no they will not get a full version. if they update they will have to pay to unlock

option 2: no, they will have to pay to get the full version. if you do this users will be angry, fyi

my advice, leave the paid version and release a free lite version.
