[SUGGESTION] Your Uninstall is flawed

Today, I downloaded GS, and after screwing up and not putting it in it's own folder (I know that's my fault, but still...), I decided to Uninstall it from the Setup-er, then leave for a while. When I got back, I check back the progress, and was surprised. The ENTIRE HARD DISK DRIVE went missing. Not joking.
I know that it was kinda my fault for not putting it in it's own folder (because Steam installer and every game I download manually makes it's own folder), but you should have something to prevent this right?
Edit: I kinda don't know where this should go, so feel free to move it.

I assume this is the windows version?

Yes, it is.
I'd submit a bug report, as that is a pretty big bug if it's reproducible

Just confirmed this myself and put in a bug for it. Looks like the uninstaller is wiping all files and folders from the installation directory and not just the stuff it installs. The installer does default to C:\Program Files (x86)\GameSalad Creator but yeah that's really unfortunate that you lost your files. Sorry about that.

Thats a bit scary.
yea, that sort of thing is typically done automatically by the installer. I work with installshield day to day, and if I wanted to do something like that I would have had to manually code it. although this doesn't look like an installshield package.

This would seem to be the kind of bug that requires a withdrawal of the program until it can be fixed. I'm finding it hard to believe GameSalad would be taking ANY chances with users' data if they know this is a potential outcome.
@BBEnk is right, this bug is scary. But GameSalad's response is even scarier

I'm not mad about my lost of files, ai don't even know what I lost. Just fix it.
And I put it in D drive, because my C drive because C was running out of space. Oops.
Any Undelete program should recover those files no problem provided you didn't put new stuff on there already. Then some of them might be overwrittenn
