png sequence issue

When I use png sequences, they seem to stutter/not play
smoothly. It's as if the order isn't correct but I checked in the animation behaviour
and the sequences look to be in the right order.
Also,
I'm making a side scrolling game where bg scrolls and each segment of bg
is 640 x 320 pix. Will this game choke on an i-phone (30 fps ideally) assuming I use
approx 10 actors on screen at a time (50 pix x 100 pix). GS is great but I wonder if
the scope of described above will result in low frame rates Thx in advance for any reply.

This first level has a seamless scrolling background image thats 640 high by 1007 wide, the main actor (the guy on the bike) is animated pedalling at 30fps, and everything runs smoothly on my ipod touch. All my gfx are pngs, indexed to 256 colours. Theres about 60 actors in total, of which 9 or 10 will be on screen at once. If you can, save all non moving actor images as png 8 files, (save for web and devices from photoshop). I have had to use "normal" indexed pngs tho on most of my images that have blends / transparencies.
My anims run smoothly, I've always been impressed with how GS handles png sequence anims. Have you tried playing with the fps slider in the animate behaviour?
As far as fps goes, I havnt checked it on the viewer, I publish straight to my ipod, all I can say is that its runnin great, even on busy scenes where you land on peoples heads etc.!!
Im only a begginer at all this, and although I realise I havnt given much of a "fix", I hope i've given you hope that GS can handle your project!!
Hope you get it smooth!!
