The chartboost Ads are SO slow to pop up!

hey gang,

So, I have a chartboost ad that would pop up when you click the start button. Whats happening is that after you click the start button, the ad takes like 10 to 15 seconds to pop up! Making it seem like the start button doesnt do anything! Its really annoying and I feel like I'd lose downloads because of it. Any way to fix this MAJOR issue?

I havent experience this problem with any of my games. When it happens, are you offline, wifi, 3g/4g?

Happens to mine too. It happens in the first time it is played in a session and is to show an ad. Within the same session, succeeding ads flow well. Very annoying!

Now begs the question, why don't GS put the caching of ads in the first instance? After loading custom splash screen perhaps?

When chartboost isn't working, others always assume its Gamesalad, when its not. I've played other games/apps and noticed that their adverts arent displaying either and these are non gamesalad games. Are they using Chartboost? I don't know but these advertising services arent fool proof

Yes I know it happens to other games too. But why does the first instance of loading an ad is so darn slow when the succeeding is fast? I'm just hoping the first time players knew that and take their time to load the initial ad as the succeeding will be tolerable. I for one, was once an install and uninstall freak when I think the game was buggy which in reality is not. (Now I know)

Slow loading is down to a whole variety of issues. Your phone, your connection etc etc. This is the problem when there's just so many handsets and devices at all different speeds. Same goes for networks.
