What are ALL of the fees to publish an app?
I've been working for a month on my gamesalad game just to find out (not sure if its true so please confirm this) that there is a fee to publish to the iphone app store? Along side the $99 fee to be an iOS developer? Also I read that since I use the basic (free) version, my game is going to be ruined by ads that dont even make me money, they just make the gamesalad company money. So why would I keep working on this game just to waste money, not get many downloads for a $0.99 app (Would have to price it like that or would lose money) and make customers of my app unhappy because of ads? It just seems like I've wasted a month of my time to figure this out. If I had known this earlier I would have used a different software or just coded it through xcode. So if all of this is true, how come the gamesalad home page doesnt have a big comparison chart of free versus pro version on it's homepage?

Dont blame Gamesalad because you chose to not read through everything required. It is not their job to hold your hand.

You have every right to investigate the details of a product you choose to use prior to making decisions about whether or not to use it or whether or not to pay for premium features.. From the GameSalad home page, the pricing information is just a click away: http://gamesalad.com/creator/pricing.
To answer your questions, you do not have to pay GameSalad any money to publish a game on the App Store. If you don't want the game to include ads or you want to profit from the ads, then a Pro license is required.
GameSalad is a company and as such has to make money to stay in business. Part of how they do this is to generate ad revenue from people who choose to not pay them to use their software. The flip side of this is that it's possible to make games for free and to publish them for free.

Where did it say there was a requirement to read everything? I didnt know they had a document that required me to read it before I downloaded the software. And yes the link you posted I have seen... after I made a lot of my game. I saw it after because the link was at the bottom of the website page. Not smack dab in the middle where it should be for everyone to see, showing all of the disadvantages of the free version. All I am saying is that a company should make things more clear. Not try to scam people into buying their overpriced "pro" version. And yes, it's overpriced. $299 for pro would be a good price if it wasn't an annual payment.
You are a waste of my time. By the way, that "overpriced $299" is easily made back as long as what you are putting out isn't trash. If you are not happy with it then move on to the next engine and take you ignorant comments with you.

It's not that you were required to read everything. It's just that if you wanted to make money off of your app, it is recommended that you do the necessary research and get all the facts before downloading gamesalad.
Dream big. Anything is possible, you just gotta work for it. Maybe you're app will be the next top hit.
You're entitled to your opinion, of course. The $299 fee is considerably cheaper than it used to be and also competitive when compared to (and in some cases much cheaper than) other companies' products.
The bottom line is that you had every opportunity to find out these things before you worked long and hard on your game. You could search the forums, ask for clarification here, look carefully at the home page, or ask other members privately what is required to publish an app.
I do hope you stick with GameSalad. It's an amazing tool with a very strong community of people willing to help out. But this thread is not going to be a positive one with the approach you took to this realization and based on some of the responses. So I'm closing it. Feel free to contact GameSalad, Inc. directly with follow-up questions.
