Whats up with GS?

Okay I have an image that is 480x320 When I right click the image and get info it shows dimensions as 480x320.

now when I import it into GS and I make an actor and put that image as the display for some reason the dimensions change to something like 102X100 and the image is blurred. Now I change the size of the Actor to 480x320 and my image is still blurred...

I tried opening my image with Paintbrush and it opens just fine as 480x320...
wondering if this is a bug or something with GS and how to fix it.

    First of all check that you created it with 72dpi I have had the same sort of probes before

    this is the thing, I have 12 images all are 480x320. 1/12 works and is clear the other 11 dimensions are messed up. I made them all the same and they all have the same properties. Idk what it is I guess I could try the jpg

    okay saving as jpeg worked... any specific reason why? and will this effect my game dramatically. I read in the FAQ that it suggests using png files for best results.
