trouble with putting IOS viewer on iPad - solved
Hello, I've reinstalled Xcode, latest version on my new Mac (27" 3.2Ghz machine) but am getting errors when trying to build the viewer.
The GameSalad viewer project has 1 problem, and in the project general section, it seems to be a file called libluajit-ios.a isn't installed (it's coloured red).
I wonder if it's something to do with selecting the iOS simulator at the top - I've tried iPd 2 and iPad Retina because there isn't iPad3 in the dropdown list, the one I want...
Also when I've built, it's failed on hundreds of things, two starting with Asset Catalogue Compiler warning, the rest starting Apple Mach-o linker warning.
Really would appreciate any guidance here, thanks.

Currently we don't support the viewer running on the simulator. You need to build it for an iOS device.
If that does not help please submit a support ticket and CS and i will assist you.
Ah, I see what I've done - OK, thank you @BlackCloakGS - I do want it for my iPad so I'll try again.
Also think i've confused it with a prev.iPad provisioning profile... thanks again.

I like talking to myself in this big cave .Hellooooooo!! Wow, echoey. Interesting stalagmites.
So I've dumped the Xcode and reinstalling it... hope that sorts my problem out....

Download another copy of the GS viewer from http://gamesalad.com/download/releases
It will download a folder named viewer.distribution.
Open it and open the file named gamesalad viewer.xcodeproj
X code will open, make sure your iPad is plugged in to the computer and unlocked.
on the top left corner next the stop button set your iPad ad the receiving device
click on gamesalad viewer on the left side and then gamesalad viewer under targets
under the general tab, in bundle id you will see com.gendaigames.gamesaladviewer, change this to your bundle ID you set in iTunes connect
click on the build settings tab
under code signing set
code signing identity, Debug, any iOS sdk, release, any iOS sdk to you developer profile in your keychain.
Click the play symbol on the top left and let Xcode build it, once it succeed wait a few seconds. Gamesalad viewer will open up on your iPad.
Once it opens on your iPad and is fully loaded, hit the stop sign on the top left of the Xcode window.
Unplug device and your done.

Thanks for your help, @Lovejoy, appreciated - though I know all that bit - I need to upload a new provisioning profile for a later iPad first though.... double click that, and I got the spinning wheel.
I'm downloading a fresh copy of Xcode and see if I can install the provisioning profile again OK, then I'll be opening the gamesalad viewer project after. Thanks again.

Hopefull, thanks.
Reinstalled a fresh copy of Xcode on an iMac 3.2 GHz Intel Core i5 running Yosemite, double clicked a provisioning profile for a new(er) iPad(3), just the spinning wheel again.
I wonder if its something to do with my certificates - which ones do I need so I can check in Keychain Access, anyone know? And, with a fresh copy of Xcode, do I have to set up anything in it first before double clicking the PP? Any other thoughts?

@gyroscope In keychain under certificates i have:
Apple application integration certification authority
Apple worldwide developer relation certification authority
com.apple.idms.appleid.prd.984884783 bunch of numbers
Developer id certification authority
iphone developer:myname
iphone distribution:myname
Have you tried refreshing your provisioning profiles in Xcode? Open Xcode, go to preferences->accounts->view details-> then refresh at the bottom left of the window

Thanks for info, @Lovejoy - useful for another time because - in the meantime, I got it done - I think I didn't choose my device properly at the top in Xcode...
So now have iOS GSC Viewer installed on the iPad. Hoorah.
Thanks for your help, appreciated.
