Hi

I just published my game on Google and when I downloaded it on Samsung Galaxy s4, the screen looked stretched, but on my google nexus 4 phone all looks ok. Please what can i do to fix this. I used overscan. All my scene size are 768x1024

As seen in image, the pulse button and one of the stars is out of screen.

Is there a recommended background image size for Android devices?

When you select overscan in portrait it will cut off the side to be able to fully fit on the screen. The only solution if using overscan is to either adjust the actors for each specific screen size or work within the viewable area.

Some find it easier to use stretch when working with android due to the variations of screen sizes.

Hi, just so I get this clear, if I choose to create 2 different scene sizes, one for iOS and one for Android, what sizes would be recommended for each:

    For Android:

    • 16:9, as in 1280x720px
    • 16:10, as in 1680x1050px
    • 5:3, as in 1280x768px
    • 3:2, as in 960x640
    • 4:3, as in 1024x7681.

    iOS

    • 480x320px, 3:2 (iPhone, iPhone 3G, iPhone 3Gs, iPod Touch 1st Gen—3rd Gen)
    • 960x640px, 3:2 (iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPod Touch 4th gen)
    • 1136x640px, 71:40 (iPhone 5, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5S, iPod Touch 5th gen)
    • 1024x768px, 4:3 (iPad 1st gen, iPad 2, iPad Mini)
    • 2048x1536px, 4:3 (iPad 3rd gen, iPad 4th gen, iPad Air, iPad mini 2nd gen)

I really need to know the best method of working with different screen sizes. DO i need to add attributes on each scene to determine device screen size?
