Unlocking Character

I have a game where you can unlock new characters by purchasing them with coins. I have a "Lock" actor in front of the actor that you click to change characters. So when you purchase the new character the "Lock" actor is destroyed and the "Change Character" actor is activated, but the problem is every time I close the game, the "Lock" actor respawns and the player has to re-buy the character. Does anyone have any idea how to fix this problem
