Trying to get iAds for the game. Trying to submit game for review. How do I upload my game?

I have finished my game but want to have iAds and want to test it prior to putting in on the app store. I want to test it on my ipad with iads. I have created an account and am in the iTunes connect. I am missing 1 thing before submit for review and that is to upload the build with Xcode 5.1.1 or Application Loader 3.0.

I downloaded the Application Loader 3.0 but it will not allow me to load my game. Can someone give me step by step instructions on what to do? I just want to have iAds. I didn't think it would be this difficult.
