Help with Pong on ipad

im trying to create a pong like game for ipad but need help with the controls, i was wanting to use either a joystick, a dragging method, or two buttons to control left and right, can i have help from someone that can tell me how to do any of these methods?

    aw thanks thats what i was looking for, now i have one more question, how do i do this on an ipad :P it doesnt have a keyboard

    From the sounds of it, you really need to do a little preliminary homework. If I were you I would view the video tutorials to learn the basics.

    i figured it out but i need a litle help with figuring out how to get the paddle to stop moving, i set it up like this when a touch is placed above Y location 400 move up when below 400 move down, but when i touch it just keeps going, how can i set it up so that it will stop when i lift my finger off the screen?
