Posting images on the forum Mac user

Can someone please talk me through how to get an image attached to a post on the forum. Most times I just take a photo right off the desktop and add it as an attachment on other sites. But all I see are the http:// and or URL options when editing my question....where do I go from here? Do I have to go through mediaFire?

    I think attaching images/files is only for pro members. You have to use media fire and sites like it as an alternative.

    If your pro than you can post images and files in the forums from your desktop. If not for files you could use media fire, drop box, etc. for photos you could use a site like photobucket. They give you the proper links you would paste in your posts.
