hi people, ive got a fantastic game coming along but i am having a very frustrating problem:
my game is huge and is being developed for the iphone.
it contains 240 actors so far.
gamesalad is getting so slow!!!
seriously to open the project it takes 2 whole minutes.
to edit an actor it's about 30 secs!!
any way to prevent the whole thing from slowing down?
P.S. i will be upgrading my mac mini from 1 to 4 gb of ram next week. will that help?

the real question is "will a game that big run on an iphone?"

Scitunes raises a very valid point.

But yes, more RAM will help, and we hope to make further versions of GameSalad faster as well.

yes i thought of that too but since it is just a tapping game spread out on many scenes i think it might work. seriously it is very very simple.

You might want to start thinking about how you can make it more efficient.

If the actors essentially do the same thing but look different, you could change the image on the actor depending on the level you're on for example.

    Hope that helps,

yes thx quantumsheep but all actors do different things. i really do think it will work on iphone because no actors actually move or do anything to take up a lot of ram (on iphone). anyway soon i will join the program and test it.
    thx to all
