OS X Yosemite destroying my Gamesalad!?

Slayre77Slayre77 Member, PRO Posts: 115

I recently updated to Yosemite because apparently I couldnt download XCode without a newer version of OS. After updating , i went into gamesalad and just pressed preview. Before the update the game ran smoothly with pretty high fps, but when I previewed it after updating, the fps was choppy and the game glitched and behaved weirdly. My character was once able to move from one place to another but now it simply moves off the screen when I swipe.
Before updating, I tried using the HTML5 preview and it was similar - laggy and the behaviours didnt work- but now even the normal preview is like that. The game is completely unplayable now, please help :(

    Id also like to add that @BlackCloakGS‌ stated the new gamesalad version 0.12.10 had "Yosemite and iOS 8 compatibility". :|

    @Slayre77‌,

    All you needed to do was update your Mavericks to 10.9.5 then you could download the current xCode version. You didn't need to upgrade your OS to Yosemite. It said update, not upgrade, LOL. There are still issues with GS and Yosemite. If possible, I would re-install Mavericks and go from there. I won't update until I know for sure, that everything works fine!

    Download the latest RC version, it's so much better, not perfect but a lot, lot better than it was.

    @KillerPenguinStudios‌ well I wish I knew that earlier :/
    @beefy_clyro‌ I just did, but the problem still persists. Does this mean I'll have to go to the trouble of downgrading my OS?

    I would downgrade my OS. You can just go into the App store on the mac and go to purchases and Mavericks should be there. But it's up to you what you want to do.

    Disclaimer: I take no responsibility if something goes wrong! It is on you. Not saying something will, just felt I needed to say that, lol

    @KillerPenguinStudios‌ Hi, I have downgraded my OS, but well lets just say I never used mavericks and was (and am) on Mountain Lion. Mavericks is no longer available on the store so I dont know how to upgrade to Mavericks because the only option is to upgrade to Yosemite
