Confused about publishing/certs and getting it onto my test ipad

I've been reading here and I think... I have "over read" stuff and confused myself

Basically, I've come to the point where I want to test my game on my ipad mini 2 to see if it works the way it works in the GS creator.

• I clicked on "Publish" and it uploaded my test game
• (At this step I am not really sure what to do, I don't want it to be public as its still a work in progress)

Doing a google search has led me to:

• I made a developer account with Apple (it says $99 but charged me $125 as I am not in the US )
• I then downloaded xCode

but no idea where to get "Developer Certificate and Provisioning Profile" as detailed in the above link

Does anybody have a step by step that I can follow please?

@ryast you should watch the videos from the bottom up...as viewed from the link @Lovejoy‌ posted. Kind of weird they used to be from the too down as one woukd expect. Ill try to change the irder for future viewing.

Hey David!
Thanks, excellent set of videos outlining a pretty insane set of procedures created by Apple!
I swear your instructions are much much more clearer than the crap they have on their own site! They should hire you to show people how "it just works"

If you could change the text of the videos, perhaps you could add a "1. Certificates" and "2. App ids" etc to the video titles, then no matter how much youTube jumbles the order noobies like me would be able to find the correct order.

I skipped the testflight video, a bit too long and all I wanted to do was get it on my ipad, I did this by (following everything till that video then) opening iTunes, dropped my app in iTunes, did a sync. Maybe you can make a quick video for people like me who just want to do what I did.
