Is realtime multiplayer features coming to GS anytime soon?

There is no doubt realtime multiplayer games are selling like hot potatoes in app stores . Making games where one can play against friends or random people in real-time is what GS is really missing . Is there any chance That GS will get this option anytime soon ?
