Should I set my app to free before an update?

Hi, I am working on an update for one of my games. It is a major update with all new graphics, and more gameplay. Right now, it is set at .99$. I am averaging about 1-2 sales a WEEK. The update is almost done, and I hope that it will be on the app store within 2 weeks. Should I set the app to free now? Or should I wait until I submit the update, or not do that at all? Anyone ever done that? Afterwards do you get more sales?
Thanks

I did this for my first app, but it never translated to much higher sales. I think if you are going to do it then you should set it to free before the release, get it into the hands of more people and then when the update is out they might recommend it. That was my thinking, but didn't really work for me. You might have more luck!

Or could you release it as a sequel? That way it will appear at the top of the new releases. Of course, thats only if there is enough difference.
