Please suggest games with great art

Eastbound

Hey guys,

I'm looking to start making a platformer game (or adventure or arcade ) and I'm really lacking in the art inspiration department. I'd really appreciate it if you guys could refer me to some artists' portfolios that inspire you, or better yet a game with graphics that leave you in awe thinking about them.

Fruit Ninja looks spectacular. Blimp's hand-drawn graphics are jaw-dropping (as is their sound quality, a great combo). Knights Onrush, Meteor Blitz, MiniSquadron, Spider: Secret of Bryce Manor (up there with Blimp) and Tilt to Live are all great.

If your game has crazy little monsters in (i know this isn't a game but...) take a look at a load of weird vinyl art toys (like dunny! I love them and the designers come up with some really weird things that always look cool.

Great that some put in Nitrome and fruit ninja, I love them.
Minigore has great 3D visuals.
Run! has great clean, 2D visuals.

Newer Title: Castle Crashers, Braid

I'm a sucker for digital cartoons and Braid, while I didn't care for the game itself, had amazing, amazing art.

I love Castle Crashers too! The artwork is great and very cartoony
