Preparing for distribution

I am close to finishing my app, so I decided to start getting the certificates and profiles together for the App store. I am just confused. I am using the cookbook tutorials that explain how to set everything up, but 3.2 is not very clear. It wants me to create a Distribution Profile, but nothing the tutorial shows is the same on the developer site. Am I missing something?

Honestly I don't use the cookbook. It's complicated and not clear. I almost always use video tutorials.
