Oh No! Universal Build

So I would say I am 90% done with my game then I thought. I wonder how this will look on other devices. So I tested it and it looks horrible lol. Can someone please explain Universal builds? I found a video but the guy in the video doesnt really go into detail. For example should my photoshop files be a certain size? Which option should I use for universal builds? Letterbox, overscan, stretch? I hope its simple and doesnt require me to restart my app.

What size did you build game in? iPad? Iphone?
It's best to start with iPad but this will work with others.

There are a few examples on the forums. @BBEnk 's universal build template seems to work pretty well. But for your next game, plan ahead and decide on what method you'll use before starting. It will save you a lot of trouble.

Ok thanks I will look at that forum and template. @gattoman My png files I use are double the size of an ipad resolution, so they are 2048 x 1536. My game is built starting with ipad landscape.
Should be large enough to look good on an iPad or iPhone. Independant resolution checked. Stretch.
That's how I've done it and when I ad hoc on retina iPad and iPhone 4s it looked really nice.
I know my first two apps I made I had to go back and upgrade the art. But I made them too small to start with.
