Buggies - New and Noteworthy

That was fast. It just came out last night!

it's on theNew and Noteworthy section on top with the larger rectangle graphic. It's on the Kids and Adventure pages!

Would be awesome to be on the main section but with two places getting first spot on a saturday I wont complain!!!

In the store i changed the description to be safe since it's not a sidescroller. I dont wanna mislead anyone. With classics like Rocky and Pocky I consider top down games platformers too but i dont know if that is correct these days. The term seems a little more SS specific anymore.

    whoah... i just logged onto the appstore, and my game iSUB has also got a new and noteworthy big image in the Arcade section.....

    and just like James, my app only went live on the appstore late on Thursday....

    I didnt even know they updated the new and noteworthy on Saturdays... I always thought it was done early in the week.

    But more to the point, 2 of us getting featured less than 2 days after approval..... thats bonkers in a very cool way!

    lets hope its the start of a trend :)

    double whoah... after reading James post again, i checked both the categories iSUB is listed under...and yup same as James its been featured in both. so got the new and noteworthy in both Action and Arcade....

    These new changes to the appstore are fantastic.

    Congrats James...i'll see you down the pub for a few celebratory drinks!! :)

    We should make a lineup of games that are stellar, and then submit them at the same time, and see if we can take over N&N!

    HA!, so out of curiosity, I checked out the entertainment section and my app Tickle Stones is listed under What's Hot.

    I was wondering what was up because I'd noticed a sudden uptick in sales. There didn't used to be a What's Hot under entertainment. Of course, entertainment apps don't sell as well as games, but it's nice to see it get a little visibility!

    Sadly..the initial excitement is short lived.

    Looks like those new category "New and Noteworthy" sections are updated daily with new apps, so you quickly get shoved off the visible spots into the offscreen spots, and then after a few days off the list completely.

    So theyre not like getting a front page "New and Noteworthy", but I guess its still better than nothing though.....

    Yeah im not sure how that works

    In one category i was moved to the right one spot and in another i stayed today.

    All and all it helped sales a bit.

    It's reassuring for all of us in this thread that our apps have been noticed and im sure increases the odds of a main page feature

    Entertainment can sell well.
    That fat face thing is pretty hot these days.
    Its just harder to get noticed without out 15 or so sub categories
    If you can get rank up in there you are golden i think

    This happened to me with one of my non gamesalad apps. It got put in new and noteworthy under music for about a day and a half but then it went away. Then on the third day it reappeared! So keep on the lookout. It seems that some apps stay up for a couple of days while others are only up for a couple of hours, which is pretty unfair.
