Ok so after a couple hours my 3gs seemed to have broke. (no power nothing, not even when plugging it in)
I assumed the worse since i had dropped it a few times and it has a rattle sound.

After some web searching it seems that many others are having similar issues as well.

The easiest fix is to just hold home and power until it resets. I missed that the first time because it seemed like nothing was happening even after about 30 seconds. I have reset my device a bunch of times and i just didnt realize it could take so long. After all that i felt kind of silly.

Option 2 if that doesnt work. Hold the just the home button and plug into the USB to connect to itunes. Dont let the home button go until it resets.

Yeah i was thinking the same thing.
But I always have the backup of I can give my wife my 3gs!

She still has a 3g and doesnt care so much about the 4. She would like to be able to shoot video.
So that will work out fine for both of us.
