Is there a limit to an image's dimensions?

HI,

I am working on a screen scroll using the basic idea from firemaple's/carlos.varela.com samples.

The issue I am running into is that one of my images is really tall, and it seems that anything above 3000px the image just disappears when I run the simulation.

Is there a limit on the dimensions of an image?

the iphone only supports 1024 x 1024, if you have a bigger picture you will need to break it up in something like photoshop and tile them together

Yea. I am using the ipad screen. but wither way i think that image was too big.

I have somewhat solved the issue... I reduced the height of the image to a little over 2000px and it seems to work. It was really what I was trying to avoid doing but sometime you just have to move on and get it done.

The limit is 1024 pixels on the iPad as well. It uses the same OS.

I'm surprised that you are able to use anything bigger than that without it getting distorted.
