Hello! I am currently working on a 2d platformer. Whenever I create the jump platforms and preview it, there is an invisible platform that I collide with. Any ideas? Thanks!!

Check Scene-->Layers-->Background (or other layers if you've created any). You may have an actor behind the background image. You can click on each actor in the layers window and see the actor highlighted in the scene.

Is there empty transparent space around the image? I'm not familiar with the Windows creator, but it looks from your screen shot like there is.
