Paste into expression editor

I have a long expression and since it's hard to work in the ONE line on the expression editor I started to use a text editor (notepad). Now my problem is my attributes aren't pasting correctly. Instead of showing up as blue they are just plain text. How can I paste into the expression editor and keep my attributes blue?

You can't.

You can copy an expression from one behavior/rule to another. If you click on the 'e' and bring up the expression and then click on another 'e', you can copy and paste or drag the entire expression. But you can't import text and have the attributes work that way. I really wish you could.
