How long or tall can one scene be?

I created a scene, sidescrolling to the right, and it's 5200 in width, is that over the limit for a length in one scene? I try to go into it on my viewer, and it keeps crashing, but all the other levels load just fine, and they are smaller in width than that scene.

    what's cookin,

    is it all one image? i believe codemonkey suggested breaking up large scenes into 'power of 2' chunks of no bigger than 1024.

    Yea they are all to the power of 2 rule, and the backgrounds are broken up into several 1024X512 pieces to make 5020 (approx)

    I checked all the rules etc, just wondering if there was a limit?

    It appears there might be a limit if your level is crashing, while smaller ones aren't!
