Apple Doesn't Want My Money >.

Freaking Apple.

I've been trying since Friday afternoon (it's Monday morning here now) to pay for my developer license - I have literally tried about 40 times since then.

The error? "The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading." - that is in Firefox. I've also tried Safari. I've also tried my partner's PC - just to be safe.

It's seriously as though they don't want my pathetic Australian dollars! (Even though what I'm paying equates to like $105 USD.)

Anyone else had this?

I emailed them, hope to hear back later today - if not I might just have to call them. I want to be ready to roll when I finally get my iPhone.

Peach, Apple don't allow Australian devs. You need to have a US account. It's the only country that works this way. Basically, you'll need a letter of commitment from a US sponsor so that you can get your US tax number. You'll then need to contact Apple directly and get them to enable your IP (they instantly ban all IP addresses from Aussie), so that you can proceed through and make the payment. You'll also need a US bank account to receive the payments from them, which you'll need to be a resident/citizen for.

On top of that, the royalties work differently with Apple only paying out 15% to devs. Of course all of this could be totally untrue and I'm just winding you up :-P

I will stab you in the face, Polygame.

    Also, STFU. :P

Nah, thanks for replying, even if it was just to harass me XD

Still - I can't sign up and they have suggested things I've already tried. Multiple times. On two computers. >.<'

I remember having problems when trying to register as a developer. From what I remember, I tried again later and it worked.

It is Monday morning in the United States. Sleepy Apple is just waking up. Maybe there's something wrong with the server. I'm thinking that the tech guy will drive in, drink his morning coffee, chat with his co-workers about latest happenings in sports and entertainment, and eventually get to work. Soon after reaching his desk, he will realize that there's an issue with one of the servers. A quick reboot and then Apple can start taking your money. That's how I imagine it anyway.

Of course, that's how I imagine Gendai Games works too... shared projects are appearing in GameSalad again. HA HA :)

    Thanks Photics.

I shall, once again, repeat the process.

Then find my freaking tax file number.

    Then apply for an ABN.

Then register the ABN for GST.

Then get a new bank account with a big bank that has the codes Apple needs for payments, which my credit union lacks.

Then maybe a doctor about having been sick for a fortnight.

    ....

It's going to be a long week for poor ole Peach :(
