With many thanks to the GS staff (CodeMonkey you RULE) and community who have been so generous with their advice and assistance, we wanted to post a link to the latest demo:

Still haven't been able to fix the scrolling issue -
i'd like the game to work like ZombieVille where at the start of the game the character is over to the left facing right. If you touch the left button he turns around and walks to the left edge of the screen and walks in place.
then if you touch the right button he turns around and walks back to the center of the screen and then the backgrounds start scrolling with him walking in place.
I also haven't been able to figure out how to implement the jump button so that's next!
