Create a Hole in a Collision Shape_Like a Coin Going Into the Mouth on old "Zoltar" game
Whats the best way to set up the graphics to make it look like a coin being shot actually enters an opening on a target. I would like to give the user the feeling that the coin has entered the slot, not just have it destroyed on impact of a dark hole graphic.
I don't think there is a way to create a hole in a collision shape, but that would be ideal.
I was playing around with using two halves of a target, one half on a layer behind the layer the coin is on, and one half on a layer in front. It gives the illusion that the coin is entering the hole, unless the coin is shot above or below the hole, then it just disappears behind the front half of the target.
I was thinking I could use another actor with alpha turned off that the coin would collide with, and some how stack it around the opening. But maybe theres probably a simpler way. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

hey @floatingwoo,
attached is a template you can get this idea from. The coin drops into the bucket! Hope this helps!

@floatingwoo,
HAHAHAHA!!!
thank you my good sir! Delighted to help any way I can! Dig the graphics BTW!
I know KillerPenguinStudios has already laid out the basics, but here is what you would do with your set up. Switch visibility on for the collision actors to see how it is set up.
Click on the screen to generate a projectile.
Thats awesome! While I was laughing, my kids quickly ported it to their iPad and ran off to play with it. Thats saying something. Thanks!
Tell them I want ¢99 off each of them.
