fireball bounce help

Hi guys. hoping someone can help me with my problem. I have a actor that shoots fire balls either left or right depending on which way he is facing. I have two problems. Once the fireball spawns it just shoots left or right but if If I change the way I am looking while the fireball is out, then the fire ball changes direction also thats the first problem. The second problem I have is that i want the fire ball to take three bounces of the ground then disappear. which is my second problem. I cannot get the fireball to bounce off the ground, go back to the ground and bounce again....basically a super marios fireball bounce. Any help is appreciated.
