Release Candidate 0.13.4 - Fire TV and Gamepad Support

Features:

  • XBOX One controller support added for Creator Preview and Mac Desktop (USB only). Requires drivers for the gamepad to function in Mac OS. We recommend using the "Xone-OSX" driver.

  • Playstation 2 Dualshock support added for Creator Preview and Mac Desktop. For now, this is only supported with the HVG2 USB adapter.

  • NYKO Playpad Pro is officially supported with the Amazon Fire TV and other Android devices.

Fixes:

  • Fixed an issue with Change Scene behaviors failing to respond if preceded by a Change Scene behavior that uses the same gamepad button or analog direction to change the scene. Due to this fix, it is recommended that you don't use button press down (i.e. "true") in a rule to change scenes or else it will fire off the next scene's Change Scene behavior if it uses the same rule. Instead, capture the true to an attribute then wait for the button to turn false again.

  • Fixed Creator locking up when syncing a PS3 Dualshock 3/SIXAXIS controller via Bluetooth

  • Added code to guard against potential crashes when a gamepad is disconnected while Creator or a Mac Desktop app is open.

  • Fixed issues with Analog Sticks not allowing full range of motion with certain gamepads.

Known Issues:

  • Android devices running older api level (less than 16 or Android 4.1 Jellybean) may experience an InputManager crash (Bug 765).

  • Volume buttons don't work on Android devices while an app is open (Bug 760)

  • In Android, Kindle, and FireTV apks, the Player Joystick Connected boolean will turn false if the app is reloaded (Bug 740)

  • The Logitech F310 in X-Mode maps X, Y, A, and B incorrectly. (Bug 771)

  • RevMob ads are currently displaying incorrectly in iOS 8.1.3 (Bug 769)

  • It is possible that the gamepad you are using is not supported or acts strangely when used in a GameSalad app. Most Android bluetooth gamepads should work. As well as most gamepads that emulate an XBOX 360 controller. Your Mileage May Vary. Additional gamepads may be officially supported in the future.
