Game Center achievements updates more than once

DuesDues Member Posts: 1,159

Hey guys,

So I have achievements that is updating with percentage. When I test my game in sandbox, the achievement is shown again and again, even though its an achievement that you can only get once.
Anyone else having this problem?
I was thinking to make som additional attributes that checks if the achievement is already achieved, but what I have read that should not be necessary, since GC recognizes if an achievement has been achieved.
Any suggestions?

Have you set a full achievement to 100%? And/ or more importantly, are you a) saving your achievement after its completed? and if so b) are you loading your saved attribute so the game knows its been completed?

I was under the impression that you didn´t have to save the achievements? I will start with that, and see if that does it.

    Thanks @jigglybean

@jigglybean This is what I have read before:

"When you update an achievement successfully it will save automatically on the Game Center servers.

Once an achievement is unlocked and awarded via Game Center it cannot be awarded again. Even if you continue to update an achievement past 100% it will be ignored by Game Center so there is no need to add extra SAVE logic for the achievement itself."

Learn something every day! I use Game circle and not center, so not sure if its the same really. I can only suggest looking over % rules and ensure the values are correct.

Does Game center have an XP value? So if you have 100% XP, and say 10 achievements, divide these numbers, to get your allowance of XP per achievement. Thats how Amazon works (out of a max 1000xp I think)
