Alright, as many of you know I'm very into a lot of different kinds of gamers and am overall pretty nerdy. Just in the nerd way, without the benefit of being a super genius like some of you, lol. ^-^;
In the original Pokemon cartoon - you know, before they had like 10,000 "new" pokemon that were really just hybrids and 9,000 more plants with faces.... In that cartoon here that was on in the early mornings, PICACHU ALWAYS WON.
It would always be like;
Ash: "Oh, it's a fire pokemon! Go - watermon!"
Enemy: Hit it with fire attack!
Watermon: "Watermon?" *faints*
Ash: "Oh noez. Picachu is weak against fire! .... GO PICACHU - I CHOOSE YOU!"
Picachu: *gets beat up and almost dies but then somehow wins with a single attack*
Does this bother anyone else? I rarely think about it but I found an old Pokemon game after a discussion with butterbean about GBA games and well, it does bother me XD
Just saying is all. And besides, we need more truly random threads in this section. ^-^;

One that bothered me in particular was the battle against Brock and Onyx.
We have Onyx, giant pile of boulders who is at least 2 stories tall, up against Picachu, a rat with electricity who is the size of a small dog.
Picachu gets his a$$ kicked, and at the last minute, water pours from the ceiling sprinklers, and suddenly rocks become an electric conductor, thus allowing Picachu to zap him to hell and win the battle!
Def. frustrating and predictable!
It was awkward being the only one to openly admit having an OK knowledge of the original Pokemon.
On that note - my twin sister had crushes on all kinds of cartoon characters including Brock - LOL. (Also Vageta from Dragon Ball Z, if you ever saw that. Our version was way too soft.)
Ahhhhhhh, then there was Magikarp. ^-^;
