Hey folks! I just started using GameSalad and I am extremely surprised and excited at how user friendly it is. I'm on a quest to bring a game idea I've had for a while into reality, and despite my complete lack of coding or designing experience I may just be able to pull it off!
I look forward to picking brains and consuming tutorials ^_^

That's exactly the way I felt when I discovered GameSalad a couple years ago. I had some limited coding background but found the community here to be very supportive. I've learned so much! Hope you do to.
Edit: it's been three and a half years. Guess time flies when you're having fun.

You may find that the first game you make is purely a learning curve and you don't end up publishing it. The more you practice, the more ideas you get as your knowledge of GS expands
When I first started I went in blind....always trying to figure out what I wanted to do as I was doing it. I then saw a post talking about a "story board"...writing notes down.
For my slots game I am working on I have loads of notes, pay tables...outlines of sequences.
This has helped me tremmendously.
