Color Changing?

I was wondering if there is a way to make a actor change colors smoothly and repeating.

Like the frog, but only one color at a time.

I know it's kind of ridiculous putting the gif, but I wasn't sure if people would understand what I am trying to say and that's the only example I could find.

I tried to do what socks said, but all it did was it stayed the same color.

Well, I deleted them,but I typed what you wrote in the thread link tatiang put up. You wrote them for PC so I may have messed up because I am on Mac.
