The new system is now in iTunes Connect. I'm currently in the middle of trying to figure out how it works. I'll post back with my results.

It's essentially the same, but Apple's system is a LOT slower. In my experience each build pushed to TestFlight via Apple takes 10-20 minutes from build to installation. There are video tutorials on how to use the system, I think. If not I might consider making one.

@http_gamesalad Yes. Now under the tab of "pre release" in itunes connect...of your app....you will see internal and external....you choose a build you have uploaded via application loader there.

You are by default an internal tester....friends you allow to adhoc are external. An internal build will be available for immediate testing by all internal testers...you. External testers will be sent an invite to test after your build goes through about a two day review process by apple. With external you simply put their email in and check their box as a tester you allow to test.

I did this my first time last week and it was amazingly simple. Only thing I dont like is I can test and make changes three times internally before a build is reviewed over a two day period and your testers will not be getting access to them as fast as you do. This in my opinion is as stupid as apple can get.

I will ad there appears to be NO need to sign your project with an adhoc profile. I have been using my appstore distribution profile....because now if bu chance a test buikd happens to be the one you want...you then can choose that very same build for "submit for review". This I like.

I think this just might be my next update to publishing tutorial :-)

    @Armelline and @Thunder_Child

I'm having a hard time figuring this out. I've added testers, uploaded my build but cannot seems to figure out how to apply testers to that build.

This is what I'm seeing now:

EDIT: And yes, I have gone to the external testers tab to see if my build appears there, but it does not.

@Braydon_SFX, sent you a PM. This is the kind of issue that needs lots more information to pin down :D

It looks though like you just need to wait for the build to finish processing. You can't assign users until then. Can take up to 30 minutes for processing, in my experience.

    Replied.

Understood. I made sure to wait more than 20 minutes before complaining. ;) It could be my connection - we here in Texas got blasted with some snow and my connection isn't as strong as it normally is.

@Braydon_SFX It looks like its still processing, maybe give it a few minutes. Just like when uploading a binary, it takes a few before being able to select it for submission.

    Not 100% though.

No, Apple are REALLY slow. It used to be that you could push out 10 builds in an hour testing little changes, with the old TestFlight. Now it's more like 2-3... Very annoying!

Thanks for the reply and giving some hope! In my experience, when I upload a build I've been able to select it for submission right away. So this is delay is new to me.

    No fun!

I'll let it sit for another hour or so and report back. I assume, as you all have mentioned, it just needs to finish processing... We'll see!

@Braydon_SFX first thing I see here is the build is currently "processing"....my first build took over an hour to "process".

Second is I see it listed under internal which, will only be the "developer" (you) or "team" that is used under the certicicates used in the provisioning profile used to sign.

After that build has finished processing the developer (you) will get an invite to test like nearly immediately. After processing you choose the external tab and input email addresses of any testers you want...then you still have to choose a build for review...this takes about 2 days. Then as soon as it has been reviewed you will get a notice via email or (intunes connect app on phone) that it is available for external testing. All those listed and "checked" for testing will then recieve an invite via email to test your build.

As I replied to a post from @http_gamesalad today also...you do NOT have to sign your app in GS with an adhoc provisiining profile. You can use a distribution "app store" profile in case it haooens to be that build is the one you want...if it is...you simply use that build to "submit for review" under the app manager with all your metadata. It really is a good process they have created (excluding the test app 2 day review process)....

How can you tell it's listed for internal? I want it to be an external build.

Right. I already have my testers set up. Just waiting for the build.

Yes. I figured that out pretty quickly. I tried to submit the test build with an adhoc provisioning profile, but the Application Loader wouldn't even let me upload it. :)

@Lovejoy ...I believe I might just have a new topic or two !! :-) and maybe an uodate to a few previous ones as some things have changed in itunes connect and although the videos are fairly recent...they became "outdated" shortly after. Danged ol Apple !

Has anyone else run into the issue about beta entitlement? I tried new provisioning profiles and I still have the problem.

Video tutorials sound like a great idea!

Unbelievable ! I sent in a new build, and it completed processing in 5 mins.

I think I had this issue too. You have to use a provisioning profile that is for distribution for the app store. Not adhoc or development.

@Thunder_Child, @Armelline and @Lovejoy - Thanks again for your help, guys!
