Is it necessary to put GameCenter in the game ?

in Working with GS (Mac)

My game is rejected by Apple.
One of the reason is that " Your app did not integrate with iOS features. For example, Game Center features should be integrated to keep track of high scores and achievements."
So, I want to know if GameCenter is necessary to be put int the game.

    I have several games in ios store with no Game Center. No ios features what so ever.

    If you have the check box for GC in itunes connect...but no GC feature...I can see how this may have caused a rejection. Your App ID may have GC capabilities and that fine...but the itunes connect GC under your app is possibly the issue.
