Best way to save Player Progress outside the device?

In my current game the players play over a longer time accumulating currency and making progress.

A lot of them scream for Cloud support to back up their progress.

What options do we have as Gamesaladlers to save/back up Tables?
Which would you suggest? Why?

GS does not have selective iCloud storage for appdata at the moment.

Solutions:

(single device):

• Create your own server and save and retrieve the game state based upon an identifier which you create.

(across multiple devices, even different operating systems)

• Again, create your own server solution, but the user will need to create an account. The account will link the stored data between the devices.
