Welcome! A few questions for you:

    1. Are you a teacher? You posted this in the Teachers subforum.

    2. Do you have a set budget in mind? I assume you are wanting to hire someone to help you. Most GameSalad consultants charge somewhere between $25-$50 per hour.

    3. What type of apps are you planning on making? Some people here are better at certain things (e.g. physics, multiplayer, tables, animation, etc.).

You want someone to help you for several hours per day and you're not willing to pay them? That's expecting too much and it's not really fair to the other person.

That being said, there are many helpful people here so you can just ask a specific question and I'm sure you'll get some help, just not the kind you're expecting.

    ...just a simple game...

No offense intended, but even a game that seems "simple" can take a long time to create. :)

If you are stuck on something, I normally just google 'how do I make a shop in gamesalad' and it comes back with results. I personally check on youtube.

As a new member, and from reading these forums, the best way is to do a search for specific things that you are trying to do. There are great tips in the forums, there are online books to download, and plenty of helpful sites with tutorials and templates. From my personal experience so far, if you try to help yourself and still need help, these members are more than willing to lend a hand.
    P.S. Start with a storyboard ( a visual gameplan)

Yeah I started with no clue what to do, and watched Youtube videos for hours. After about a month, it starts coming naturally. Just play around with it and watch videos on how to do certain things.

Even with asking the questions correctly...finding the right answer via YouTube...previous discussions...sifting through templates...(if you have never coded before and this is brand new to you)....you need to go ahead and let that (this is gonna be so easy) bubble burst...it will help you in the long run.

I've been a GS user since Oct, 2013....just now feeling that I have a grasp of...THE BASICS.

Take some advice I did...after months of going no where...make some hand written notes...a few drawings that layout each scene...know what you want your actors to do...wether it be a ship that rotates..only goes up and down...or side to side...wether it shoot one bullet at a time...or bursts of bullets when you continue to push and hold the "fire button"...and so on.

Come up with your "simple game idea"...and stick with that...make it happen...then if other ideas come up...incorporate those in an update...or as MANY MANY of us do...and you will to I assure you...you will scratch a build...and start over several times.

    Good luck to you.
